Sustainable employability of euro workers

Research shows that the number of labor migrants in the Netherlands quadrupled between 2006 and 2020 and that this growth could continue between 17% and 70% until 2030.* About half of these labor migrants come from Eastern Europe, we refer to them as Euroworkers. These euro workers contribute 5 billion annually to our economy**, doing simple routine and low-paid work that few other people feel like doing. However, they face poor living and working conditions, among other things, as a result of the price pressure created by the Netherlands competing with low-wage countries such as in Asia. To date, the many initiatives of both the government and the temporary employment sector itself have not yet led to a structural improvement for this labor group.

In close cooperation with experience expert Ard van Diepen (more than 15 years of experience in the euro workers sector as General Director of a temporary employment agency for European flex workers), we investigated what the conditions are for a solution with impact:
1) Clear yield improvement for staffing agencies
2) Possibility to distinguish yourself as a staffing agency from the rogue organizations
3) Increase efficiency in the matching process whereby employment agencies save time and temporary workers themselves are more in control
4) Increase transparency about the conditions regarding living, working, transportation and professional conduct
5) Opportunity for temporary workers to develop and grow towards a new job

On this basis, in collaboration with several industry experts, we have developed the platform PJOTR aimed at temporary workers from Europe (euroworkers). On PJOTR, these euroworkers can match themselves with the offer, taking into account their preferences and the experiences of the various parties.

PJOTR: 10% average cost savings and up to 20% better performance

With PJOTR, staffing agencies can realize significant savings, on average 10% on their costs. In addition, at the same time, they can also realize improvement in their performance, up to 20%.

In collaboration with international cyber experts, the Cyber program was developed for both the small business owner and the multinational. The ultimate goal is to measurably prepare employees to recognize and effectively address cyber security risks in their own work environment. The program is available in Dutch and English.
